Teaching HOPE was founded by women who met in 2006 while volunteering in a summer visit program for Colombian orphaned children organized by another charitable organization.
We set out to help orphaned girls prepare for their lives after the orphanage. Many of them are teenagers now and soon will need to leave the orphanage as they age out.
As such, the strongest uniting factor of the Teaching HOPE board members is their unrelenting commitment to the well-being of orphaned children.
