2008 Amparo de Niñas Christmas party and inauguration of TH's computer lab
In December 2008, Teaching HOPE held a Christmas and computer lab inauguration party. All 70 plus girls at the orphanage received a sweatsuit with our logo. Jay, our board member in Colombia and his wife attended the party and helped pass out gifts to the girls.
We have launched our first project, a computer lab at the Amparo de Niñas Orphanage in Bogotá with enough computers for 10 students. Classes for all of the girls (about 70 students) have started and we are looking to add more computers in order to accommodate all the girls in the orphanage.
