We launched our first two projects! Teaching HOPE built a computer lab at the Amparo de Niñas Orphanage in Bogotá with enough computers for 10 students and we are going to be adding more computers within the next few months. The girls, (about 70) are taking ongoing computer classes and are currently learning the basics of MS Office, how to send emails, and how to use the Internet.
We also started English classes for the girls in order to give them marketable skills that will assist them with finding gainful employment after leaving the orphanage. It is a lot of hard work, but we are all truly passionate about children and the possibility of changing their lives.
