Our first two projects are well on their way! Teaching HOPE built a computer lab at the Amparo de Niñas Orphanage in Bogotá with enough computers for 10 students and we are going to be adding more computers within the next few months. The girls, (about 80) are taking ongoing computer classes and are currently learning the basics of MS Office, how to send emails, and how to use the Internet. We also started English classes for the girls in order to give them marketable skills that will assist them with finding gainful employment after leaving the orphanage.

Teaching HOPE recently received an e-mail brimming with thank you letters from the girls at the de Niñas Orphanage! Their letters were created on the computers, and show that they have worked in Microsoft Word with typing, cutting and pasting, and inserting clip art, and many of them translated their letters into English. Click here to view the letters written by the girls.

To our valued members and anonymous donors: Thank you sincerely! Your donations have truly made a difference in the lives of many older orphaned children in Colombia.

It is only through your continued support and donations that this is possible. We are excited to share ourTeaching HOPE brochure and newsletters. Please share it with all of your friends and family.

Sincerely,

Teaching HOPE
